Applifier + Roar = Virtual Goods Promoted to Paying Customers

Zynga-like cross-promotional and monetization platform for all developers

SAN FRANCISCO, March 8, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Game technology platforms Applifier and Roar Engine are excited to announce their partnership and product integration. Developers can now sign up for a roar.io account which provides all of the integration points for Applifier's Facebook and Web cross-promotional tools at both the client and server levels.

"User acquisition is expensive. This is where companies like Zynga have it over any other game developer; they can cross promote new games to the hundreds of millions of players of their already successful games. That's why Applifier is such an important piece of the puzzle for roar.io. It puts the power of a network containing over 150 million players in the hands of all developers." said Roar Engine Co-Founder and CEO, Clint Walker.

"Being able to effectively monetize players is essential to building a sustainable game development business. roar.io gives developers the ability to monetize players easily but in order to generate revenue, you need people playing your game in the first place. That's why partnering with Roar made perfect sense for Applifier. Together we solve two of the most difficult problems that game developers face." Applifier Co-Founder and CEO, Jussi Laakkonen.

Developers can enable Applifier in their games without having to integrate a new service into their game. Applifier can be configured from the roar.io configuration UI and roar.io's API contains the code that developers need to show the Applifier client components and communicate with the Applifier web service.

"We're excited to offer the Applifier service directly to our developers from within the roar.io configuration interface. Using our tools, you create a balanced game and then, when you're ready, hit the growth button using Applifier. Best of all, the integration work is already done for you. No new code required." said Mr Walker.

"It's these sorts of tools that really democratize game development. Unless you're a top tier developer, you can't afford to go out and build a virtual goods platform or a distribution network. roar.io and Applifier are available to developers for free, providing a way for smaller companies to compete." said Mr Laakkonen.
